After much anticipation, Liquid Oz, the cafe and wine bar from the guys who run Oz Home and Hardware opened up last weekend. Tammi and I are particularly excited since it’s literally around the corner from our place. Tammi claims she may never make coffee at home again.
Get a closer look at the place after the jump.

Given that they’ve been open for less than a week, it’s pretty obvious that Liquid Oz going to be a work in progress. They are still waiting for some furniture to be delivered, so the layout you see here is only temporary.
The biggest feature it’s lacking as far as I’m concerned is the wine. As usual, the State Liquor Authority is behind the times and hasn’t issued their wine and liquor license yet. Once that’s in place, I expect to make this my home away from home. I just hope that they stock a better selection than Therapy, which, a year in still just doesn’t deliver the way I’d like it to.
For now, it’ll be a good spot to pick up a quick breakfast or a snack. When we stopped in opening day, they were serving out samples of homemade turkey chili that I really enjoyed despite my usual distaste for meat substitutions.
I typically don’t eat breakfast, but having some pastries and such right there may lead to me partaking in the ‘most important meal of the day’ a bit more often. We’ll see…
