After the inauguration, we walked back up to the Logan Square area, where we were staying and, intending to grab a drink and take a load off, ended up sitting at the chef’s counter and ordering a huge dinner that we filled up on far too early.
Of course, with a view of the kitchen, I couldn’t help but start shooting again. Food and Work, below.
We sat right next to the brick oven where they made flatbread pizzas. They looked pretty tasty, but we didn’t try them.
Instead, my first course was a huge bowl of beet risotto, colorful and filling, I barely had room left for the rest of my meal.
We both had brat burgers with gruyere for our mains. Its tragic that I was already so full that I couldn’t finish it.
A perk of sitting at the counter is that they sent out a few small dishes as well.
I wrapped up with a cheese plate.
