Lima Tour 6: Going Downtown

We had a little time before the next food stop would open up, so Henry took me to downtown Lima. Up until that point, it hadn’t even occurred to me that where we were in Miraflores wasn’t downtown or at least close to it. The drive took about half an hour. It was dark by the time we got there, so I didn’t see a ton of scenery besides the main square.

It was the most touristy part of Lima I had seen to that point – and there weren’t any foreigners to be seen. It was kind of fun to see a tourist base that wasn’t at all targeting Americans or Europeans. We walked around a bit and it was good to see more than just Miraflores and Barranco, but honestly, this was the least interesting stop on the tour. I was ready to get back to the food.
